The CMR is on the lookout for software-savvy professionals who can contribute to the Operational Readiness and Evaluation (ORE) team by developing advanced cyber operational readiness applications and tools. The position calls for individuals who can address complex challenges with cutting-edge software solutions and appreciate teamwork. Proficiency in software development and a deep understanding of modern programming paradigms are crucial for this role. The ideal candidate will be able to innovate, commit to their work, and engage in continuous learning.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 8 years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree with 5 years of experience; or a PhD with 2 years of experience; or equivalent training/experience.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%, including international destinations, in support of SEI’s initiatives.
- Must undergo a background check and qualify for a Department of Defense security clearance.
Duties
- Collaborate seamlessly with team members.
- Understand client challenges.
- Define software requirements and set development goals.
- Engineer scenario-driven software simulations.
- Develop, test, and deploy software applications tailored for cybersecurity simulations, training modules, and competitions.
- Regularly engage with diverse software technologies and platforms.
- Design and maintain software solutions that align with government cyberspace directives.
- Address challenges in software-driven learning and human-machine collaboration.
- Prototype software tools and events.
