Data Engineer, Analytics Responsibilities:
- Data Warehousing: Design and implement data warehousing activities to establish a solid data foundation for informed decision-making.
- Data Models: Create and launch collections of advanced data models and visualizations that support multiple use cases across different products or domains.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to understand data needs and represent key data insights visually.
- SLA Management: Define and manage Service Level Agreements (SLA) for all data sets in allocated areas of ownership.
- Security and Governance: Implement the security model based on privacy requirements, confirm safeguards are followed, address data quality issues, and evolve governance processes within allocated areas.
- ETL Optimization: Solve challenging data integration problems using optimal Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) patterns, frameworks, and sourcing from structured and unstructured data sources.
- Pipeline Optimization: Optimize pipelines, dashboards, frameworks, and systems to facilitate easier development of data artifacts.
- Influence Teams: Influence product and cross-functional teams to identify data opportunities that drive impact.
- Problem Solving: Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors, demonstrating good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Applied Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience: Two years of work experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation, including experience in features, design, and use-case scenarios across a big data ecosystem.
- Skills: Proficiency in custom ETL design, implementation, and maintenance, object-oriented programming languages, schema design, dimensional data modeling, SQL, analyzing data, managing and communicating data warehouse plans, MapReduce or MPP systems, and Python.
Compensation:
