Meta, formerly known as Facebook, Inc., is seeking a talented Data Engineering Leader for Analytics to join their team in Bellevue, WA, or Menlo Park, CA. Data Engineering Leader, Analytics (Developer Platforms) Responsibilities:
- Vision and Planning: Proactively drive the vision for Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehousing across a product vertical. Define and execute a plan to achieve that vision.
- Operational Excellence: Define processes for achieving operational excellence in all areas, including project management and system reliability.
- Team Building: Build a high-quality BI and Data Warehousing team and design it to scale. Manage and scale teams, demonstrating strong leadership skills.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Build cross-functional relationships with Data Scientists, Product Managers, and Software Engineers. Understand data needs and deliver on those needs.
- Data Warehouse Management: Manage data warehouse plans across a product vertical, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
- Data Models and Pipelines: Drive the design, building, and launching of new data models and data pipelines in production.
- Data Quality Management: Drive data quality across the product vertical and related business areas.
- Dashboard Delivery: Manage the delivery of high-impact dashboards and data visualizations.
- SLA Management: Define and manage Service Level Agreements (SLA) for all data sets and processes running in production.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Team Management: Experience scaling and managing 6+ person teams.
- Experience: 9+ years of experience in BI and Data Warehousing.
- Leadership: Communication and leadership experience, including initiating and driving projects.
- Project Management: Project management experience.
- Data Architecture: Data architecture experience.
- SQL and Development: Experience in SQL or similar languages. Development experience in at least one object-oriented language (Python, Java, etc.).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry Experience: Experience in a consumer web or mobile company.
- Technical Skills: Experience with data sets, Hadoop, and data visualization tools.
- Advanced Degree: Advanced degree.

Compensation:
